Here's a lot of work I never got around to posting. All commissions from awhile back. I'm hard at work on Vescell but i'll try and keep this updated for the 5 people who actually follow.
Speaking of Vescell, number 1 hits the shelves on the 31st! so make sure you get out and get a copy. pick one up for friends and family too. Even the kids...you might have to cover their eyes for some of it...most of it actually. nah, just for get the kids, it's not appropriate for them at all. But everybody else, hell yeah. Maybe not old people...they tend to die from shock value. Whatever, just get it.
Also Myself and Vescell Writer/Creator Enrique Carrion will be signing at Forbidden planet in New York on September 2nd from 6pm-7pm. So definitely come out get a signed copy, some mediocre conversation, maybe do some shots, you never know. Looking forward to seeing everybody out there. More art and words on the way.

Over the weekend I found out one of my good friends is expecting a baby...and another one of my good friends died. It's amazing how you can feel joy and sorrow in the same moment. . .how you can feel two completely different emotions simultaneously. Though these things are opposites they brought me to the same conclusion. Life is precious. . .meaningful. . .valuable. The start of life and the finish of life changes those closest to it forever. These monumental events and all moments in between can not be taken for granted.

I thank God for my life and the lives of my Wife and children. Congratulations Eric, your world is about to be reborn and I know you're ready for the journey. Tone Bing, you were one of the realest, coolest, funniest dudes I ever had the pleasure to call a close friend. My prayers go up for your family. you are missed.

LA was the flyest. i loved it out there. Thanks to everybody who picked up a copy of Deep Blue (issue 2 coming soon), a print, or a sketch. Okay. . . since getting layed off times have been rough. Me and my family have really been goin' through alot. Being homeless and blind(temporarily) have to be in my top two(or bottom two dependin' on how you look at it.) But I won't get into the crazy details of how I am where I am right now. It's not important. What's important is what we do from here. They say you grind from the bottom just to make it to the bottom. That's because people think you should just give up when hardships come. Like if you have a nightmare you should just stop dreamin'. I can't do that. I can't focus on the bad when there's so much good in my life. And i thank God for that. I gotta thank Tiff for being a real friend when my family needed it the most. You're truly a life saver, Homie. And my Grandmother back in Philly....I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me, for my wife, for my children. I love you with everything that i am. I also wanna thank Sanford Greene and Bragi Schut for their help. I appreciate the efforts alone. Good lookin' out. So with all that being said, I'm doin what i gotta do for us. It seems as if there's no way.....so I have to make a way. It's what I do. So stay tunned for what I've got in store.
Anyway, on a slightly less depressing note. . .
I had an interview in last month's (or the month before......i don't know) Asian magazine "CG WORLD". It was a Q and A interview in which they labeled me "Dark Scorpio"(I had nothin' to do with that.......but i like it.) The actual magazine is not in english so if anybody wants to check it out, I posted the English version here "the Interview"

I did this 'Roc' version of Mike Mignola's charcter Abe Sapien a while ago....just never posted it.

Anyway. So i did that online survey thing where they tell you what superhero/villain you're most like or whatever......well apparently i'm the Hulk or Apocalypse.....WHAT?!
Really?! that's like the worst good guy or bad guy in the comic book world. I'm not Hulk like at all. in fact i prefer things un-smashed. And Apocalypse??....what does all this mean? Am i a maniac?....am i a monster? I need to look deep inside myself and re-evaluate my life. i just don't know who I am anymore.

this is the most recent page i worked on...page 11....kinda makes no sense without the preceding pages, but i just wanted to give some glimpse of whats in the book.....plus i pretty much hate every page before this. But i think i'm gettin' to a point where i'm happy wit' what's comin' out.
